Our third stop along The Outback takes us to the charming town of Thallon, where the journey leads us to a true icon of the region: the legendary Nindigully Pub!
Dating back to 1864, The Nindigully Pub stands as one of Queensland’s oldest continuously licensed pubs, steeped in history and bursting with character. Affectionately dubbed "The Gully" by locals, it’s a beloved gathering spot for locals and travellers alike.
Join us for a lively afternoon of dancing, singing, and classic pub grub, set to the sounds of country sensation Taylor Moss, country-kissed rock 'n' roller Good Will Remedy, and the spirited fiddle tunes of St. George local Cait Jamieson.
The best way to experience The Outback is with a Trail Traveller Pass! This exclusive pass gives you access to The Outback's three flagship events The Gully Sessions (Nindigully), Ballads & Bush Yarns (Charlotte Plains) and Outback Sounds (Charleville), at a ripper 10% discount.
By grabbing a Trail Traveller Pass, you’ll not only snag an incredible deal, but you’ll also become part of a community of like-minded Trail-Goers—made up of fellow caravanners, explorers, and music lovers—keen to share the adventure.
MobTix provides enhanced access to our events for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as Māori, Pasifika, and other Global First Nations communities, through discounted or complimentary tickets.
Complimentary MobTix are available for each ticketed event on The Outback, covering The Gully Sessions (Nindigully), Ballads & Bush Yarns (Charlotte Plains), A Night at Eromanga (Eromanga) and Outback Sounds (Charleville).
To reach Nindigully from Brisbane, begin by heading southwest on the Ipswich Motorway, then continue onto the Cunningham Highway toward Warwick. Follow the Cunningham Highway through Warwick, staying on course for Goondiwindi. From Goondiwindi, head west on the Barwon Highway, which will take you straight to Nindigully.
The journey takes about 5-6 hours on fully sealed roads, suitable for all vehicles, including caravans, campervans, and smaller cars.
Alternatively, you can take the Mungindi-Goondiwindi Bridge Road through Northern New South Wales from Goondiwindi. Although this route is also sealed, it’s slightly rougher than the highway. If you’re uncertain about your vehicle’s capability, the Barwon Highway may be the better choice for a smoother journey.
Caravans and campers are welcome to set up in front of the pub alongside the banks of the Moonie River. The council restrooms are available to all. While it is free of charge, it's not free of responsibility, so please ensure you leave your camping area and Nindigully clean, for those who come afterwards.
If camping isn’t your style, there are a range of guestrooms with shared bathroom facilities available at the pub.
Enhance your Outback adventure with exclusive Star RV motorhome packages, designed for ultimate comfort and convenience. Enjoy 10% off van hire and full roadside support—available only to Outback Trail ticket holders.
RSVP for your Polaris 6 or Polaris 2 motorhome and enjoy an exclusive Trail Traveller Discount when you purchase event tickets on Moshtix. Hurry—this offer ends on 19 January 2025!
What's Included:
Just 45km south-east of St George, “The Gully” as it’s locally known, is pretty much four houses and a pub on a riverbank. But what a pub, what a view and what characters you’ll find!
