Where is the event taking place?

Our Ballads and Bush Yarns event is taking place at the Charlotte Plains Station on Charlotte Plains Rd, Cunumulla


What is Ballands & Bush Yarns?

Escape to Charlotte Plains, a family owned and operated sheep station that’s been in operation for over 100 years. Brimming with activities, you can choose from one (or more) of the many offerings facilitated by the Outback Station.  

For the wellness enthusiasts, take some time to relax and unwind by booking a hot artesian bore bath (link to booking here) or take a stroll out to Jack’s Hut, a 16km return hike from Bore Camp. 

For nature lovers, the site is teeming with birdlife! Get up to speed on what you might find by checking out the legend of local birds on the map at bore camp, then hit the road with the binoculars to try and spot them all! 

For those seeking something a little more unique, book into the daily Animal Feeding or learn a little about the family’s racing history by checking out their Family Museum at the Homestead.

Tickets to the Ballads & Bush Yarns can be booked via Moshtix via the link below.

Is it an all-ages event?

Yes, Ballads and Bush Yarns is an all ages event. 


Can I enter Charlotte Plains before the event?

Yes! The bore site will be open and available for access to all guests from 7am - 2:30pm on the event day. Event organisers will ask all patrons to exit the bore by 2:30pm for safety reasons during event setup. 

Any Charlotte Plains camping and day guests who do not a Ballads & Bush Yarns event ticket will not gain entry into the event site, including the main bore drain, after this period. 

*Times are subject to change according to the event organisers' schedule. 


Do I need a ticket to attend?

Yes, every person attending the event will need to purchase a ticket. You can purchase tickets via Moshtix using the link below. 


What are the running times?

The doors open at 4pm with the event expected to end at 8pm.

What should I bring?

Be prepared to present tickets (digital or printed) at the doors.

What is NOT allowed at the event?

As a licensed event BYO Alcohol is strictly prohibited. BYO food is strictly prohibited.

Is seating provided at the event?

BYO camp chairs and picnic blankets are permitted into the event. 


What if it rains?

The show will proceed with light rain. In the event of heavy rain or storm during event time, the show may be delayed. Bring a rain poncho!


Can I camp?

Ballads and Bush Yarns is hosted at the Charlotte Plains Outback Station where camping experiences are available for booking. Please visit their website using the link below to book on site accommodation.


Will there be ATMs?

There are no ATMs on site at the event. Cash and card are accepted. There are ATMs available in Cunnamulla if you require cash out before arriving at the station.


Will there be lockers to store my things?

No lockers or coat check is available on site.


Can I bring my pet?

Pets (with the exception of registered assistance animals) are strictly prohibited within the Ballads and Bush Yarns events, although Charlotte Plains Outback Station allow for pets at their campgrounds.

Is accessible parking available?

Limited parking is available for patrons with access needs. Reach out to our team using the form linked below and we'll assist as best we can.


Is the event wheelchair accessible?

Yes, Ballads & Bush Yarns will be wheelchair accessible. Please note that the event is occurring outdoors and some surfaces are uneven and unsealed.


How do I book a Companion ticket?

Companion Cardholders are eligible for one free Companion Ticket in addition to their event entry ticket.

If you require assistance in booking your companion ticket, please request access using the form below and our team can give you a call to facilitate your booking.


Will there be Accessible Seating or dedicated viewing area?

There will be an accessible stage viewing area for any patrons requiring this. Please let our team know if you require this section by submitting the form below


Are assistance animals allowed?

Yes, assistance animals are most welcome at all Qld Music Trails events. We do request that you let us know in advance via the form below so we can notify our front of house teams. 


Will there be AUSLAN interpreters?

Unfortunately, there will be no AUSLAN interpretation at this event at this stage.

How do I get there?

In Queensland's outback, public transport options are limited. Although, there will be dedicated event parking available onsite at the Charlotte Plains Outback Station.


Where can I park?

There will be dedicated event parking available onsite at the Charlotte Plains Outback Station for ticket holders. Drivers, please follow signage once you arrive at the station.



#Ticketing

Who do I contact regarding ticketing?

Please submit an event enquiry form below with as much detail as possible.

Alternatively you can call the QMF head office on 07 3010 6600 on Monday - Friday between 9am - 5pm.


What are the terms and conditions of entry?

Please read the terms and conditions of site entry, and the Moshtix User Agreement.


How will I receive my tickets?

Tickets will be emailed to the nominated email address provided during booking. If you have not received your ticket please check your spam / junk folders


I haven't received my email confirmation/ticket — what do I do?

In the first instance, check your Junk/Spam inbox for lost emails. If you require your ticket to be re-sent please action this directly through Moshtix.

If you still can't find your tickets, please submit an event enquiry form with us below with as much detail as possible and we'll help as much as we can.


I can no longer attend the event. What are my options?

If an event has been postponed and you can no longer attend you are eligible for a full refund. Ticketholders will be informed on how to proceed via email.

Australian Consumer Law does not require a refund or other remedy to be provided to ticketholders if they cannot attend an event because a government directive requires them to self-isolate, for example, because they have contracted COVID-19 or are a close contact.

If you can no longer attend due to other reasons (including a COVID-related directive requiring your to self-isolate), you may not be eligible for a refund. 

Instead, you can:

Secure Tickets
If you upgraded your booking at point of purchase with Secure Tickets you may be eligible for a refund. Details here show how to request a refund. Full details on eligibility can be found in the Secure Ticket Terms and Conditions.

Reissue Your Tickets
This will allow you to re-issue and change the name on your tickets to someone else.
1. Log in to your Moshtix account.
2. Select the 'Manage Tickets' option on the upper right hand side, select the Reissue option, and follow the prompts to enter the new attendee’s details.
3. Once the transaction has been approved, the Reissued tickets will be sent via email to pass on.

Re-sell Your Tickets
This allows you to put your tickets at back into the pool for sale to interested patrons.
1. Login to your Moshtix account and click 'Manage Tickets'
2. Click 'Re-sell' and select all the tickets you wish to be placed on the resale facility
3. Lastly, click 'List Ticket for Resale'. There is a $5 fee for this option.

The option to put your ticket up for resale is at the sole discretion of the event organiser and not all events may be eligible for resale. 


Can I get a refund on my ticket?

As per the Terms and Conditions agreed to at purchase and the Live Performance Australia Industry Code, there are no refunds unless the event is postponed/cancelled due to weather or changes to COVID protocols as guided by the Queensland Government. Can I change the name on my tickets?

Yes! You can re-issue you ticket through your Moshtix account. 

The ticket reissue facility will close at the end of online ticket sales or within 24 hours of the event start time. So, make sure you complete the below process within that window to avoid issues at the gate.

To reissue your tickets follow these short steps:
1. Log in to your Moshtix account
2. Select the 'Manage Tickets' option on the upper right hand side, select the Reissue option, and follow the prompts to enter the new attendee’s details.
3. Once the transaction has been approved, the Reissued tickets will be sent to you via email.


I want to sell/buy a ticket through a ticket resale website, will it be valid?

We are unable to verify the validity of tickets that have been purchased via an unauthorised ticket reseller. 

Moshtix resale is only available for Moshtix tickets, however this feature is not available for all events. 

Other resale sites such as Viagogo are not official resellers and are not endorsed by us or our venues. We retain the right to cancel tickets purchased via unauthorised ticket resellers.


Are children free?

Children under 5 receive free entry. Please purchase a free child's ticket when buying your tickets so our event organisers are aware of how many people will be attending.


Who is eligible for a concession ticket?

Available to full-time students, aged pensioners, and seniors card holders. Proof of eligibility is required when purchasing or collecting concession tickets.


Can I collect my ticket at a box office?

All tickets will be issued digitally via email or SMS. Please select your option at point of purchase. If you are having trouble retrieving your digital tickets please contact ticketing@qldmusictrails.com.


What is Secure Tickets?

Secure Tickets allow you to apply for a full refund on your order should you, or anyone in your party, be unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. This includes injury, illness, travel trouble and other unexpected events. Full details can be found in the Secure Tickets Terms and Conditions.
