Saddle Up! We’re Hitting The Outback Trail!

The Outback Trail kicks off in the heart of western Queensland, Charleville. Join us for the official launch of The Outback Trail, bringing together travellers from across Australia and the proud community that calls Charleville home.

Just Announced: Lee Kernaghan is joining the lineup, bringing his iconic voice and legendary country anthems to the launch of The Outback Trail!

Lee Kernaghan is one of Australia’s most beloved country artists, with a career spanning decades and a catalogue of songs that have become part of the soundtrack to life in the Outback. From dusty country roads and rodeo arenas to campfire gatherings and hometown celebrations, Lee’s music captures the heart and soul of rural Australia. Known for his powerful vocals, storytelling ability, and electrifying live performances, his shows are an experience that resonates with fans of all ages.

Joining him on stage are Tori Darke, whose dynamic voice and heartfelt songs have earned her a dedicated following, and high-energy favourite Luke Geiger, bringing his signature ‘cowboy party’ energy. Local favourites Cracker & Jess round out the lineup, with Daryl Kirkup hosting the night as MC.

The launch of The Outback Trail is a celebration of community, country spirit, and music under the wide western sky. Cold drinks, warm welcomes, and unforgettable performances make it a night not to be missed. This is your chance to connect, celebrate, and dive head-first into the spirit of the Outback.

Welcome to Charleville

Charleville, nestled in the heart of Outback Queensland, is a charming country town where big skies meet even bigger hospitality. Known for its clear night skies, it’s home to the world-class Charleville Cosmos Centre, offering unforgettable stargazing experiences under the Milky Way. Rich in history and character, the town features heritage buildings, the iconic Hotel Corones, and stories of early pioneers and aviation with links to Qantas. Nature lovers can meet the endangered bilbies at the Bilby Experience or explore the vast mulga landscapes surrounding the town.

As the starting point of the Outback Trail, Charleville sets the tone for adventure—warm welcomes, authentic country life, and a vibrant community that celebrates music, culture and the spirit of the outback.

QMF respectfully acknowledges the Bidjara Peoples as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands, waters and skies of Charleville, where Saddle Up unfolds. We honour their deep and unbroken connection to Country, culture and community, and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We recognise that music, art and story have echoed across these lands since time immemorial, shaped by knowledge holders whose cultural practices continue to influence and inspire this event. Always Was, Always Will Be.
