The afternoon features a poetry reading and performance by Leroy Wilson, Barcaldine born poet and musician, accompanied by participants from the CWAC Poetry Program Participants. Followed by an Outback Exchange Q&A panel with Leroy Wilson, Will Remedy (Good Will Remedy), and the unforgettable Tori Darke. Tori will also deliver a special performance, bringing her music and stories to life in the heart of Barcaldine.
Meet locals, share a yarn, enjoy a classic sausage sizzle, and soak up the genuine Outback hospitality. This pay-what-you-want event is all about good food, great company, and memorable moments — the perfect way to connect and unwind on your Outback Trail journey.

Patrons can bring their own low set camp chairs (subject to a security search at event entry).
Chairs will not be permitted in some event areas for safety reasons.
Outback Sounds does not have any camping options available.The Showground camping will not be open for camping during the event.

As we are deep in Queensland's Outback, public transport options are limited. There is parking available onsite at the venue.

If an event has been postponed and you can no longer attend you are eligible for a full refund. Ticketholders will be informed on how to proceed via email.
Australian Consumer Law does not require a refund or other remedy to be provided to ticketholders if they cannot attend an event because a government directive requires them to self-isolate, for example, because they have contracted COVID-19 or are a close contact.
If you can no longer attend due to other reasons (including a COVID-related directive requiring your to self-isolate), you may not be eligible for a refund.
