THE LONG SUNSET

Lose the map, find the music.

We’re back. After a massive sellout in 2024, The Long Sunset returns from 31 October – 2 November 2025 with a stacked lineup ready to light up the Scenic Rim region. Just over an hour from Brisbane or the Gold Coast, we are setting up a new basecamp in the heart of Boonah.

Headlined by beloved indie heavyweights Boy & Bear and pop powerhouse Vera Blue, this year’s festival brings together a mix of beloved fan favourites, genre-defying acts, and high-energy performers who know how to get the crowd moving. Gretta Ray adds sharp pop hooks and heartfelt songwriting, while The Buoys bring punchy, guitar-driven energy. Jem Cassar-Daley delivers soul and depth, Playlunch crank up the chaos with their signature bogan funk, and Tjaka blend traditional sounds with modern beats. The Vernons keep things bluesy and loud, and Bunny Racket brings the noise for little rockers and their grown-ups.

There’s something for everyone — from sunrise yoga and hands-on workshops to roving performers, local food trucks, and plenty more still to be announced.

Arrive Friday afternoon and ease into the weekend with live entertainment kicking off on the grounds, or head into town for tunes at iconic Boonah venue, The Commercial Hotel. Saturday brings the full festival experience, with the main lineup lighting up the stage and a packed program of activities across the site. On Sunday, take things at your own pace — unwind, connect, or head out and explore more of what the Scenic Rim has to offer.

Whether you’re rolling in with a van or pitching a tent, the festival campground is your home base under the stars , soak up golden hour, and let the good times roll from Friday through Sunday.

As part of Qld Music Trails: The Scenic Rim, expect live music activations, pop-ups and events happening all around the region. Explore hidden wineries, take a wander through forest trails, soak up quiet country pubs, or find your own secret spot to watch the sun go down.
