Where is The Long Sunset taking place?

When is The Long Sunset?
The Long Sunset is on Saturday, 29th April 2023. Camping is available from Friday, 28th April until Monday morning, 1st May 2023.
What time should I arrive at The Long Sunset?
Gates open 12:30pm with main stage starting from 1:00pm on 29th April 2023. For camping check in times - see below.
When will The Long Sunset set times and sitemap be available?
We will announce the set times and provide sitemaps closer to the event. All ticketholders will be notified with this information via email. Make sure you're subscribed or following us on Facebook or Instagram to stay in the know with the latest event updates.
Is The Long Sunset an all ages event?
Yes, The Long Sunset is an all-ages event. ID is required upon entry for all General Admission ticket holders. Valid forms of ID are DRIVERS LICENCE, PASSPORT, AUSTRALIA POST KEYPASS and PROOF OF AGE CARD. You must be 18 years old on or before the day of the event to be eligible to receive a general admission wrist band. Adults must accompany children 12 years and under. Adults are strongly recommended to accompany children between 13 and 15 years.
What should I bring to The Long Sunset?
Bring a hat, sunscreen, and your ticket (printed or digitally displayed on your phone) and your own water bottle but it will need to be empty (if it is your own) or still sealed (if it is bottled water) upon entry. Water refill stations will be available at the Event. If you are camping, make sure you read through our Camping FAQs.
What can I not bring to The Long Sunset?
Make sure you read through our prohibited items list so you know what's a no go. But here's a quick-fire version of banned items:
- BYO Alcohol both to the event and the campsite
- Campfires, candles, or open flames
- Video and audio recording devices (other than mobile phones)
- Animals (except service or assistance animals). Please fill out an Access Request to register your animal ahead of the event.
- Any items or actions considered illegal or dangerous
Is there seating available?
Yes, some seating is available in eating areas. Please feel free to bring a picnic blanket. No BYO chairs.
What if it rains?
The show will proceed with light rain. In the event of heavy rain or storm during event time, the show may be delayed. Bring a rain poncho!
Can I bring my own food and alcohol?
No - BYO food or alcohol is not permitted on Elysian Fields, however there will be plenty of food and beverage options available for purchase on site.
Will food and drinks be available for purchase?
Absolutely! The Long Sunset event site is a fully licensed venue. There is no BYO alcohol allowed onsite. Food stalls showcasing the best flavours of the Scenic Rim will be available for the duration of the Event. If camping, please see Camping FAQs for more information.

Will there be ATMs?
No. The Long Sunset is a cashless event.
Can I host a stall of food truck at the event?

Can I bring my pet?
Pets (with the exception of assistance animals) are not allowed within the Event or Campgrounds. Please fill out an Access Request so we can give our organisers on the ground a heads up.

How do I get to Elysian Fields?
Drive: If you are driving in head straight to Elysian Fields. Event parking is available on-site, with gold coin donation payable upon entry with proceeds going to Beaudesert Rural Fire Services.
Catch a Coach: A fleet of buses will operate between Brisbane CBD, Logan, Upper Mount Gravatt, Nerang and Ipswich. Book a seat now and bask in the glory of being dropped off on the doorstep of Elysian Fields. Tickets via Mt Gravatt Coach & Travel start from $27.00pp.

Where can I park at The Long Sunset?
Event parking is available on-site, with gold coin donation payable upon entry with proceeds going to Beaudesert Rural Fire Services.
If you require access to the Accessible Carpark please fill out an Access Request and we'll make sure you get a parking permit.
Is overnight parking available?
No. Overnight parking for non-camping patrons is strictly prohibited.
Are there bus services to The Long Sunset?
Yes, Mt Gravatt Coaches & Travel will operate buses between Brisbane CBD, Logan, Upper Mount Gravatt, Nerang and Ipswich. Book a seat now and bask in the glory of being dropped off on the doorstep of Elysian Fields. Tickets via Mt Gravatt Coach & Travel start from $27.00pp.

Is there a pick up and drop off location for rideshares or Taxis?
Yes, taxis and Ubers can drop patrons off with the festival grounds. Vehicles will be directed by traffic management.
Are there local shuttle buses to The Long Sunset?
Yes! There will be free local transfers available from Elysian Fields to Canungra Township for both campers, locals & visitors staying locally to attend The Long Sunset. These will run from Friday, 28 April until Sunday, 30 April. Please note - there will not be shuttles available on Monday 1 May. For full schedule please see below or download here.
#Accessibility
Is accessible parking available?
Yes, there is a dedicated carpark situated close to the event gate/entry for patrons with access needs. To gain entry just fill out an Access Request and we'll make sure you get a parking permit.
Is the event wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the event site is a flat, level grassed area with dedicated accessible amenities near front entry/main stage.
Will there be accessible seating or a viewing deck?
Each Qld Music Trail Event is different. Unless specifically indicated a special viewing deck or accessible seating may not be available. However, we are determined to ensure everyone has a great experience so please reach out to us with your concerns by submitting an Access Request.

#Camping & Accommodation
Are event tickets different to camping tickets?
Yes, they are. Each patron will need a Camping Ticket for the duration of your intended stay in addition to your Event Entry Ticket.
How do I book a campsite at The Long Sunset?
Camping tickets are available only via Moshtix.com.au and Glamping packages are available from Sunshine Glamping Co.
Do I need a camping ticket if I'm booking a glamping tent?
No! Simply book your glamping tent with Sunshine Glamping Co plus your festival ticket. There's no need to pay for a campsite ticket as glamping tents will have their own designated area.
How many camping tickets do I need?
Each patron needs a camping ticket for their intended stay. 1x Camping ticket per person. If you are booking for a group, make sure you add a camping ticket for each member of your party. Glamping packages can be booked directly with Sunshine Glamping Co.
What amenities are provided at the campsite?
Toilets and shower amenities, waste disposal, and toilet cassette disposal are available at the campsite. Please note that all campsites are unpowered. Generators can be operated between 10am and 7pm only. No fires are permitted at the campsite. All grey water must be stored and cannot be dumped at the campsite. Please see the Camping Manager should you need to dispose your grey water.
Can I bring a generator?
Yes, generators can be operated between 10am and 7pm only.
Can I bring my own food and alcohol?
Please BYO food and non-alcoholic beverages to the campsite for the duration of your stay - strictly no glass allowed. BYO alcohol will not be permitted in the campgrounds. There will be a licensed bar and food stalls at Friday night's Campfire Session and on the Event Day. A small licensed Sunset Bar will be operational on:

Can I bring a campervan/caravan/motorhome/camper trailer?
If you are bringing a campervan, caravan, motorhome or camper trailer (basically any vehicle that needs to be towed), you must purchase a large vehicle ticket.
Allocation for large vehicles in the campgrounds is limited. Make sure you book early to avoid disappointment.
NOTE: Absolutely no large camping vehicles will be allowed in the Event car park before or after hours.
When can I setup camp?

Can I reserve a campsite for a friend arriving later?
Campsites will be allocated upon arrival, so it's first in best dressed. If you’d like to camp together, we strongly recommend that you arrive together. As the camping grounds fill up, it might become difficult for you to safely drive through tents to find your friends. We know arriving together isn't always possible, but our Camp Manager will do their best to help you out.
Can I take my car out from the campsite once my camp is set up?
No, once your vehicle enters the campsite and is approved by the Camping Manager your vehicle will not have access to leave until camping check out the following day. Free local shuttle buses between Elysian Fields campsite & Canungra Township will be operating on Friday, Saturday & Sunday - please see shuttle timetable for full schedule. Additional vehicles can park in the Event Car Park B and are permitted to leave during the weekend.
Are pets allowed in the campgrounds?
Pets (with the exception of assistance animals) are not allowed within the Event or campgrounds. Please let us know in advance by submitting an Access Request so we can notify our Front of House team.
Will there be security at the campgrounds?
Yes, security will patrol the property for the duration of your stay.
Is there a family-friendly zone in the campgrounds?
Definitely! Please make yourself known at point of camping entry and our staff will work to place you closer to the amenities and in a quieter area.
