Jimbour House is located at 86 Jimbour Station Rd, Jimbour East in Queensland. The various experiences available at Opera at Jimbour will take place in and around the grounds of the historic homestead including the Eastern Lawn, Drawing Room, Hangar, Chapel, Poolside and Amphitheatre.

Yes, Opera at Jimbour is a licensed event. There will be bars open within the event grounds over the weekend to purchase drinks.
No BYO alcohol is permitted at this event including in the campgrounds.
The warm winter sun at Jimbour can have some bite to it so remember to pack a hat and plenty of sunscreen.
Identification will be required at the bars and will be checked by security at the amphitheatre entry points.
Please note that the House grounds are quite expansive so if you require a mobility aid to walk around for long periods of times please bring your trusty sidekick along with you!

Jimbour Station is a working property and private residence, plus a fully operational event site for the whole weekend when Opera at Jimbour comes to town.
As such we ask patrons to follow some simple guidelines to keep the site a safe environment for all.
Some key items that are not permitted on the grounds are:
- Animals - No animals allowed on the grounds unless a registered service animal with papers- Glass - No glass of any kind- Food within Jimbour House- Fire is strictly prohibited on the event grounds and in camp sites. Gas stoves & cooking facilities are permitted.- BYO alcohol is not permitted- Professional videography equipment (iPhones & instant camera permitted)

Most events are indoors and will proceed as scheduled.
Ticketholders will be notified if changes arise - keep an eye out for updates via email!
Be prepared by bringing a rain poncho or a spray jacket, and make sure you bring plenty of warm clothes (and maybe a blanket). In the event that the weather prevents the event from continuing, ticketholders will be contacted as soon as practicable.
The Jimbour House Long Lunch and Mother's Day High Tea will be moved to the Hangar in the event of rain.
There is no tent or swag camping available onsite.
Self-contained caravans and motorhomes are welcome to stay onsite. Please be aware that camping facilities are exclusively self-contained, with no power, waste or water services available. A maximum of 4 people are permitted per campsite. Campsite tickets can be purchased with your event tickets for $40 for 2 nights or $20 for 1 night.

Yes please! We are looking for opera lovers who would like to lend a hand to our hardworking events team. Volunteers get free access to selected performances as a thank you for their invaluable contribution. If you'd like to join the team, please fill out the Volunteer EOI below by 10 April 2024.
Once the expression of interest period closes a member of the events team will be in touch to start coordinating your involvement at the event.

As Jimbour Station is a working property no animals are permitted on site other than a bona fide, registered guide, hearing or assistance dog with an identity card.
Pets (with the exception of assistance animals) are not permitted within the Jimbour House Grounds, Amphitheatre or Campgrounds.

Afternoon At The Amphitheatre: This is an all ages event. Each patron must hold a ticket. Kids under 10 are free, but still require an RSVP which can be made at the time of booking tickets for others.
The Long Lunch: This is an all ages event. There are no youth or concession prices available for this event. Non alcoholic options will be served.
Mother's Day High Tea: This is an all ages event. There are no youth or concession prices available for this event. Non alcoholic options will be served.
Hangar, Drawing Room and Chapel concerts: Kids aged 6 and over are permitted into these sessions and require a youth ticket. Kids up to 5 are required to sit on the guardians lap during the sessions. If a seat is required this must be purchased under a youth ticket due to limited capacities.

Yes, there is a dedicated carpark situated closest to the Jimbour House main entry and Amphitheatre main entry for patrons.
Patrons with access needs are still required to purchase a parking pass for the days they are visiting and then please fill out an Access Request and we'll make sure you get a parking permit for this area to print and display on your dash for security.

Yes, Jimbour House has a transferrable ramp that can be maneuvered to all entrances into the building. The second level is not accessible due to the lift being out of service.
Onsite parking is available for $5 a day or $10 for the full weekend providing convenient access to both Jimbour house and the Amphitheatre.
It is essential to prebook parking at the time of ticket purchase to secure your spot.

Yes, they are. Patrons intending to stay at the campsite will require a valid campsite ticket per site for the duration of your intended stay in addition to your event entry tickets.
One ticket is equivalent to one campsite. Campsites have a total site area of 10x8m and suitable for self contained motorhomes and caravans only and maximum 4 people.
Make sure you book enough campsites appropriate for your group and arrive together for our camping manager to assign you sites close to each other.
No portable water available on site. We encourage patrons to secure their own provisions and plan accordingly.
Open flames including campfires are strictly prohibited within the camping sites and Jimbour House grounds. Please be sure to rug up!
