HOP ABOARD THE REEF TRAIL

Hop aboard The Reef Trail at our official launch event, Embark!

Join us on Fri 5 July at Red Dog Brewery in Mackay as we come together for a free, all-ages launch party with live music from singer-songwriter Will Blume. This is a great opportunity to meet and mingle with your fellow Reef Trail-Goers before we set sail on The Reef Trail.

Not only is Red Dog Brewery famed as the most-loved watering hole in town, it’s also a stomping ground for local musicians, making it the perfect spot to kick off our music adventure.

Enjoy delicious pizza, wine, spirits, cocktails and of course, Mackay’s finest brews, and raise your glass to the amazing experiences that lie ahead on The Reef Trail.

WELCOME TO MACKAY

Home to Australia’s longest stretch of subtropical rainforest, Mackay offers unparalleled opportunities to immerse yourself in untouched nature and explore a multitude of breathtaking national parks.

A Mackay getaway guarantees natural encounters that promise to create once-in-a-lifetime memories – whether it be exploring secluded beaches, discovering Great Barrier Reef tropical islands just offshore, experiencing unique wildlife encounters or hiking its famous hinterland.

QMF respectfully acknowledges the Yuwibara Peoples as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land, waters and skies where Between the Tides unfolds. We extend our respects for their enduring connection to the remarkable terrain, where creative works take place, performances resonate, and celebrations come to life. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders of all communities who also work and live on this land. We recognise the importance of First Nations leadership and collaboration, and QMF commits to walking together on a journey of shared learning and culture.
