Blackall - Blackall Bush Dance

History and heritage lead us to Blackall for the all-new Blackall Bush Dance on Tuesday 11 May for an evening honouring the traditions of the Australian bush through music, dance and storytelling held inside the historic Blackall Woolscour.

Barcaldine - Outback Exchange
Wednesday 12 May
A deep sense of community will draw travellers to Barcaldine to explore the theme of ‘Legacy’ as we ask what more we can do to create the artists of tomorrow? Through conversation, performance, and participation, we will help shape the future of regional arts.

Longreach - Dusty Days
Friday 14 May
Step into the heart of the Queensland Outback and our Trail at the iconic QANTAS Founders Museum in Longreach for Dusty Days on Friday 14 May. In what would have marked his 100th birthday year, Dusty Days will celebrate Australian music icon Slim Dusty and look beyond his legend to spotlight the past, present and future of Australian country music. Headlined by Australian country artist Troy Cassar-Daley.

Winton - Diamonds in the Dust

We bring a little sparkle to the Trail in Winton, with Diamonds in the Dust, the Outback's first pop-up piano bar in the Dustarena for one night only on Monday 17 May. Make a request, call out an old favourite or join in for a sing-along as our piano player is joined throughout the night by a cast of local talent and special guest artists.

Julia Creek - Dinner Under the Stars

As we approach the finale of the Trail, Julia Creek’s Dinner Under the Stars on Wednesday 19 May is where Trail friendships are forever forged over a shared meal. The first event to sell out in 2026, this relaxed long-table gathering brings Trail Travellers and the local community together for music, food, and connection beneath the stars. Numbers are strictly limited and this event is only available for purchase in the Trail Traveller SUPER Pass.

Mount Isa - Outback Sounds

The final stop on our music Trail, join us in Mount Isa for the ultimate Outback celebration and the epic finale with Outback Sounds on Saturday 22 May. Follow in the footsteps of outback rodeo legends and step onto the hallowed red dirt of Buchanan Park for a huge day of live Australian music, local artists, food, makers and Outback fun for the whole family. Big music, big skies and new traditions in the making, the ultimate finish line to an epic Outback adventure.
