BEAT OF BRISBANE

BRISBANE
30 August - 21 September

Welcome to the Beat of Brisbane!

Picture this: city streets and laneways pulsate with the sound of live music. Crowds gather and play, spilling out of world-class dining spots and bars. Rooftop parties carry on into the early morning hours. The celebration doesn't stop all month long.

This is not a daydream; this is Beat of Brisbane.

Kick off the month with Brisbane Festival, one of the most hotly anticipated events of the year. Iconic landmarks become interactive stages for live music, international performances and mesmerising installations.  The diverse musical acts are sure to appeal to everyone, with genres ranging from Indigenous sounds, opera, indie rock, contemporary beats, and soulful pop hits.

Cementing Brisbane’s reputation as a hub of creativity and artistic excellence, the southern hemisphere's largest music celebration, BIGSOUND returns. Fortitude Valley, the official music capital of Brisbane, turns up the volume, with tastemakers and fans choosing from 100 gigs over three electric nights. Like to be ahead of the curve? This is your chance to discover the Next Big Thing in music!

Wrap up the month with a blast of nostalgia at Sweet Relief. This unapologetically fun festival of music, art, and performance is back for a second year with noughties R&B icon Kelis promising to bring all the music lovers to the yard.

Whether you’re exploring cultural precincts or grooving to live tunes, Brisbane’s energy is unmissable this September.
Experience unforgettable live performances and feel the Beat of Brisbane come alive!
