By entering this Promotion, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Promoter Details

2. Eligibility

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over, based in regional, rural or remote Queensland.

The following individuals are ineligible to enter or win:

  • Employees of the Promoter;
  • Contractors or parties engaged by the Promoter in relation to this Promotion;
  • Immediate family members of any of the above.

3. How to Enter

  • To enter, participants must follow the competition instructions published on official Queensland Music Trails social media channels during the entry period.
  • There is no cost to enter.

4. Entry Period

Entries open Tuesday 20 January 2026 and close Tuesday 3 February 2026.

5. Prize Details

One winner will receive:

  • A 30-minute live performance slot at Outback Sounds on Satuday 9 May 2026 in Mount Isa, QLD;
  • Winner to be paid for their set in accordance with the Live Performance Award 2020
  • Be provided a custom suite of assets for the artist to use for the festival's promotion;
  • Entry to Outback Sounds for performing party members.

Please note:

  • Travel, accommodation, insurance and any additional expenses are not included and are the responsibility of the winner.
  • The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash or credit.
  • The prize must be taken as offered.

6. Selection Criteria & Winner Notification

The winner will be selected by Queensland Music Festival based on the following criteria:

  • Social media presence and engagement;
  • Suitability for Outback Sounds lineup and audience;
  • Demonstrated musical ability and performance quality.
  • The winner will be contacted via direct message on social media on or shortly after 3 February 2026.
  • If the winner does not confirm acceptance within 24 hours, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

The winner will be publicly announced on Tuesday 17 February 2026 via Queensland Music Trails social media.

7. Winner Requirements

The winner must:

  • Be available to perform in Mount Isa, QLD, on Saturday 9 May 2026;
  • Arrange their own travel, accommodation, and insurance;
  • Be capable of delivering a 30 minute professional live set of original music in a festival environment;
  • Provide any personal performance equipment needed (standard backline will be supplied).
  • By entering, participants consent to the use of their name, image, and performance footage by the Promoter for promotional purposes related to the competition and event.

8. Liability

(a) To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury incurred by any participant in connection with the Promotion or the prize.
(b) The Promoter’s decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
(c) The Promoter is not liable for late, lost, incomplete, or misdirected entries or communications.
(d) Winners are solely responsible for any taxation implications that may arise from accepting the prize and should seek independent advice.
(e) The Promoter is not responsible for any prize that is lost, stolen, damaged, or tampered with once awarded.

9. Privacy

10. Amendments & Inconsistencies

The Promoter reserves the right to modify or cancel the Promotion or these terms and conditions at any time for clarity or compliance purposes.
In the event of inconsistency between these terms and any other promotional material, these terms and conditions shall prevail.

11. Acceptance

Participation in the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions, which are legally binding.
