Tori Darke – Outback Trail Ambassador

The Outback Trail

Tori Darke returns to Outback Queensland with us to host, guide, perform and muck in with travellers along the 1,200km journey from Charleville to Mount Isa!

Tori joined us on the 2026 Outback Trail from Charleville to Winton. We're delighted to welcome her back in 2027, and this time her P-plates are off and she'll be driving the whole trail.

With the Outback Trail rapidly becoming known as one of Australia’s most unique and iconic road trips where music brings people together, the journey matters just as much as the destination.

Our “Trail Travellers” are the heart and soul of the Outback Trail. What began with 140 travellers in 2024 has grown into a road-tripping community, with many Trail Travellers returning year after year. This year we are expecting up to 400 Trail Travellers to pack up, roll out, and journey from town to town.

With a convoy this size, we created the very special role of Trail Ambassador to help guide Travellers along the way and make the Trail a more connected, immersive, and accessible experience.

As Ambassador, Tori will feature as your MC, tour guide, and musician all along the Trail.

Staying in the same caravan parks as our Trail Travellers, you are bound to see Tori around. Grab a selfie, have a cuppa with her, or hit the road with Tori for an early morning jog. She might even surprise you with a pop-up acoustic gig to wake you up in the morning or catch you for an interview for our social media.

About Tori

Tori Darke is one of Australia’s most exciting voices in country music, known for her powerhouse vocals, bold storytelling and electrifying stage presence. With over 15 years of touring, recording and songwriting experience, the past 12 months have marked the strongest period of her career yet.

Tori won the 2026 Queensland Music Award for Country (“Remember Me Like That”) and was nominated for the 2026 APRA Music Award for Most Performed Country Work for “TROUBLE,” a duet with Jay Santilli. She was also a Country/Americana finalist in the 2026 APRA Professional Development Awards, a Top 5 finalist for both Female Artist of the Year and Song of the Year at the 2026 Countrytown Awards, and a Top 4 finalist for the Billy Thorpe Scholarship.

Her flagship single “My Boots Made Me Do It” has surpassed 1 million streams and secured a US television sync placement in CBS’s Sheriff Country, while “Build Me A Man” (James Alexandr Mix) peaked at #9 on the ARIA Club Chart.

2026 saw Tori break into the international market, securing her O1 visa and making her official CMA Fest debut in Nashville on the Tractor Supply Spotlight Stage, followed by her US festival debut at Country Jam USA in Wisconsin and her UK debut at Country Calling, three countries in three months. She was also selected as an Official Showcase Artist for BIGSOUND 2026.

Tori has focused this year on building her own headline presence, performing at major festivals including CMC Rocks 2027, Gympie Music Muster and the upcoming Deni Ute Muster, alongside tour dates with Lee Kernaghan. Off the back of her work as 2026 QLD Music Trails Ambassador, she has just been announced to return for a second consecutive year as the trail’s official ambassador in 2027. She is currently writing material for her third studio album, due for release in July 2027, splitting her time between Australia and Nashville as she builds her career as both artist and songwriter.
