Pack your swag, round up your mates and head out west to start the first day of your outback musical adventure. The first destination? Goondiwindi, where you'll settle along the tranquil banks of the mighty Macintyre River.
The Outback Trail 2024 kicks off with Saddle Up—a spirited invitation to Trail-goers and locals to join us at the Goondiwindi Waggamba Community Cultural Centre for our official launch event. Bring a picnic lunch, mix and mingle with fellow Trail-goers and enjoy live tunes from homegrown heroes Split Image and country pop rising star Chloe Styler (Also appearing at The Gully Sessions). If you're keen to keep the good times rolling, those aged 18+ can head to the beloved Goondiwindi Picnic Races for even more celebration.
Saddle Up is a free event and all are welcome. It's a chance to share the excitement and saddle up for the incredible moments ahead on the trail!
QMF respectfully acknowledges the Bigambul and Kamilaroi Peoples as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land, waters and skies of Goondiwindi, where the Saddle Up for the Trail Ahead Trail event unfolds. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
If you prefer public transport, Crisps Coaches offers reliable bus services to Goondiwindi on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Buses start in Moree from the south, and Brisbane and Toowoomba (both via Warwick) from the east.
For those opting for air travel, the closest airport is Moree Regional Airport.
Head to the Goondiwindi Region website for an overview of your options.
Ticket info, venue details and what the day will look like — our FAQs cover it all. We've gathered the most asked stuff to make sure your time at The Gully Sessions is as smooth as your favourite track.

Gundy is known for its vast cotton fields and is also the home turf of legendary racehorse Gunsynd. You'll spot this talented galloper on street murals and maybe stumble upon his statue around town!
