The Museum of Underwater Art (MOUA), located off the coast of Townsville in northern Queensland, is renowned as the Southern Hemisphere’s only underwater art museum. This series of installations and sculptures is located within the breathtaking Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

MOUA’s mission is to inspire and educate visitors about the UNESCO World Heritage-listed reef, emphasising the critical need for conservation and restoration to protect this fragile ecosystem. The easiest way to see the artwork, however, is by taking a boat tour licensed by MOUA.

In coming years, MOUA is set to expand its offerings, with future installations planned for Palm Island and Magnetic Island.
