Since 2014, I Heart Songwriting Club (IHSC) has been helping songwriters around the world to write their best songs yet! With over 30,000 songs written by over 1500 songwriters from 30 countries around the world, it’s no wonder entire albums have been written, ARIA awards have been nominated and many career has been launched from this simple writing club.
As a part of The Reef Trail, I Heart Songwriting Club presents Songs from the Reef – a community songwriting program for emerging songwriters in regional North Queensland. Supported by QMF and the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, the program offers 20 songwriters mentorship and the chance to develop new original songs.
Qld Music Trails is thrilled to welcome Songs from the Reef participants to our Reef Sundowner event at Lake Proserpine on June 12. During the Fireside Jam (8:45–9:45pm), hosted by Those Folk, three program participants will share their work in an informal, collaborative setting. This jam is designed to foster creative connection between our programmed artists, musically minded patrons, and the region’s emerging songwriting talent.
