Sara Berki

About

Born in Bundaberg, Queensland and raised in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Sara Berki has firmly established herself as one of the most exciting and prolific artists in Australian country music today. Sara combines her modern take on timeless storytelling with a voice that ranges from angelic to soaring, and an undeniably engaging presence, both on and off the stage.

Just two years on from the release of her debut single and the impressive list of accolades have steadily grown, as has her audience of highly engaged fans. Sara has independently released ten songs to date, all self-written, which have racked up three million streams. Sara was awarded the 2024 APRA Professional Development Award for Country/Americana and was nominated for New Talent of the Year at the 2024 Golden Guitar Awards. Sara’s songs have climbed the charts, with two Top 3 & three Top 20 singles on the Countrytown airplay chart to date, a #1 video on the CMT chart and Sara was the only female artist to have three songs in the KIX Country radio Top 50 most played songs of 2023.

Sara is shining on the live front too, having been included on the iconic CMC Rocks QLD festival in both 2023 and 2024. Sara was the only Australian female artist to perform at the inaugural Ridin’ Hearts Festival, her EP launch show at the Tamworth Country Music Festival sold out, she undertook the national support for Travis Collins 2023 tour and she has, or will be performing at Groundwater Country Music Festival, Gympie Muster, Meatstock, The Muster – Perth, KIX Live in the Park, Oberon & Willinga Park Rodeo’s and more.

To top it all off, in March 2024, Sara achieved a viral hit, with her live version of the John Denver classic “Take Home Country Roads”, having been viewed over 9.5 million times across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. The performance was recorded at the Brisbane Lions vs Carlton AFL match at the Gabba Stadium in Brisbane, where Sara was invited to perform the “unofficial Lions team anthem” along with her original songs, for the pre-show entertainment. The performance is bringing a legion of new fans from across the world who are discovering Sara’s original music and the streams and views across her catalogue are growing rapidly.

All of this has been achieved with class and a down-to-earth attitude, with Sara’s ultimate focus being on writing songs that are true to her and delivering those songs in the most honest way possible – and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

New single ‘Tear You Apart’ out May 10, 2024.
