Norman Johnston or Normy J is a local singer. Songwriter and music producer who grew up on the aboriginal communities of Palm Island and Yarrabah. His music has become popular in both these communities and has become an inspiration to the younger generations in Yarrabah, Palm Island and other indigenous communities throughout QLD due to some of his songs being written about these communities.
