JUNO

About

JUNO are a Meanjin-based pop duo featuring frontwoman Kahlia Ferguson and songwriter/producer & bassist Sam Woods. They exploded onto the scene in 2021 with scintillating energy, bright blue boiler suits and crisp pop anthems.

Operating out of a custom-built home studio in the pair’s hometown, Kahlia and Sam began posting to social media snippets of the hooks they were writing. The organic online traction they quickly gained led to a demand for full song releases and live shows.

JUNO’s live show is every bit as energetic and entertaining as could be expected – especially considering the duo’s musical history. Kahlia has previously seen success as lead singer of Sunflower and family band The Fergies, touring Australia nation-wide, supporting bands like Powderfinger and Jet, as well as playing a host of other major events such as Live en Aout Festival (New Caledonia), Bluesfest, Woodford Folk Festival, Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony & St Kilda Fest.

2023 was a massive year for JUNO, with five singles released in collaboration with producer Taka Perry, the band’s first Australian headline tour (with Raria), as well as a host of support slots playing with the likes of Peking Duk, Caity Baiser (UK), Anna of the North (NO), Pacific Avenue, Cody Jon, Adrian Dzvuke, and more. JUNO are set to release their empowering new single ‘i’m the man’ March 28 and support girli. (UK) on her Australian tour in April.

Fans of Cosmo’s Midnight, Benee, and Remi Wolf should keep a close eye on JUNO as they become one of Australia’s must-hear musical acts.
