JK-47 is a Bundjalung / South Sea Islander man from Tweed Heads (Minyungbal / Goodjinburra country) in Northern Rivers NSW. 

JK-47 fell in love with music from an early age, gravitating towards Hip-Hop. Inspired by late greats such as Tupac, Nipsey Hussle, DMX and their stories of struggle to strength, he first started writing and recording lyrics at age 14, determined to pursuit his dream and achieve success as a professional MC. 

 Since dropping his debut album ‘Made For This’ JK-47 toured and performed at some of the biggest festivals across the country and achieved numerous awards such as: 2020 Triple J Unearthed Artist of the Year, 2021 NIMA’s Album of the Year, and has recently been nominated for ‘Best Independent Hip Hop Album’ at the 2024 AIR Independent Music Awards. 

His latest album ‘Revision For Regrowth’ is his most personal yet, touching on topics such as parenthood, rebirth and the nature of growth through hardship and suffering.
