About
Hailing from the Northern Rivers and raised in Brisbane, Asha Jefferies is best known for her somber, melancholy pop songs – combining the patience of folk with the urgency of youth. Her latest single ‘Crybaby’ inspired by the death and rebirth of a relationship, just took out the 2022 Queensland Music Award in the ‘Folk/Singer-Songwriter Award’ category.
Her latest EP ‘The Pinnacle’ is a culmination of soft glowing idiosyncratic sounds with classic folk instrumentality, featuring single ‘Crybaby’ which was added to rotation across triple J, double J and triple J Unearthed.
