Alf The Great

Outback Trail 2026

About

Alf the Great (he/they)

After a long silence, Kalkadungu and Bidjara multi-instrumentalist Alf the Great returns to the stage for a rare and very special homecoming, sharing the bill with their Uncle, renowned yidaki player and composer William Barton.

Alf’s live set brings together the alt-indie, alt-soul and ambient textures that define their recorded work. Layered vocals, plucked guitar and the deep hum of the Didjeribone sit beneath intimate storytelling drawn from Country and memory. This marks one of Alf’s first performances in years, with the evening set to feature both new material and earlier favourites, including the international breakout track ‘RUNNING.’. The result is certain to be a lush, immersive set that captures the emotional intensity of a musician reconnecting with audiences in person.
