Experience the grandeur of opera along The Southern Trail from 10 - 12 May, as Opera at Jimbour graces our historic venue partner, Jimbour House. Unveiling its most enchanting program to date, Opera at Jimbour beckons you into a world where breathtaking music and captivating narratives intertwine.

Immerse yourself in performances by internationally acclaimed soloists and chamber musicians, carefully curated from the esteemed ensembles of Opera Queensland and Ensemble Q, in collaboration with performance partners Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra.

The weekend promises a rich tapestry of events, including a special Mother's Day program that features an expertly curated high tea to celebrate the occasion. Experience refined chamber music within the vintage plane Hangar, indulge in intimate recitals in the opulent Drawing Room and embark on exclusive tours through the storied halls of Jimbour House, among other offerings detailed in the program.

The weekend's highlight, Afternoon at the Amphitheatre, will see the brilliance of Puccini’s operatic masterpiece, Tosca, unfold alongside a plethora of family-friendly activities. Enjoy local market stalls, food vendors, bars and pre-show entertainment before Opera Queensland soloists, Eva Kong (Tosca), Iain Henderson (Cavaradossi) and Teddy Tahu Rhodes (Scarpia), grace the stage.
